With many businesses streamlining their activities, business owners and their employees are finding that they are busier now than they have ever been before. There seems to be more and more to do, fewer people and less time to do it in. So to ensure that goals are met businesses and their employees are expected to become increasingly productive.

But how?

There are few factors that really affect productivity: Time management, Positive workplace and effective leadership.

Here are a few of our favourite tips:

Work Smarter … Not Just Harder!

Often we think that to be more productive we need 100% focus, no distractions and increase the rate of work.

But often the exact opposite is what is needed, where taking a break can renew vigour and help to refocus on the task at hand.

Be More Productive

Delegate tasks where possible

Focus on the important tasks, share those that can be done by others. It is a better use of everyone’s time and you will be amazed at how much quicker everything gets done.

Create a ‘To Do List’

Having a list like this will help you to focus on what needs to be completed, what is a distraction and gives the added bonus of seeing just how much progress has been made.

Avoid Multi-Tasking

Give each job your full attention, then get them out of the way. It often takes longer to do two jobs at once, than it would to complete them separately.
