Reviews of Alison’s first book:
22 Leadership Fundamentals – the door to success says Push!
“I have just had the privileged of reading this book and it is one of the rare works to receive a five star rating from me.
Alison Y Vidotto has produced an outstanding piece of work that I would unequivocally recommend to anyone wanting to improve their leadership skills and their life.
Mrs Vidotto gives clear concise signposts to leadership in her 22 leadership fundamentals and intersperses these with real life anecdotes of her own life including the disasters and mistakes that she very intelligently took stock of and learned from.
This woman walks the walk and talks the talk. She does not pull back from the hard decisions nor from ownership of the responsibility for her own actions. She has built her own success on the foundations of the lessons she has learned in life and shares these in a very readable manner.
I am feeling a tinge of envy for her family and her work colleagues. I would be honoured to have a woman like her as my own mentor.
I am going to reread my copy so I can learn how best to PUSH open the door to success.”
“22 Leadership Fundamentals ‘ is written very much with a personable approach, so while it is presented in a concise and clear manner, it remains easy to relate to. It simply radiates positivity and energy, enabling the reader to grasp the themes instantly, to digest them, and if applicable to build them into a plan of action.
For those just starting out in a leadership role, the content will provide the ‘fundamentals’ which will serve as a platform on which to build, while for those who are already some way down the path, this will provide welcome reinforcement and reminders, and most probably some new and fresh ideas too. Our schools and colleges should be providing this sort of reading and I’m sure students, young and old, would be more engaged and motivated as a result.
I found it refreshing, full of motivational vibes and totally inspiring, not just as another book of dry facts and management jargon. It will open doors to those who really want to be involved and to feel part of the author’s teaching. It is a great read and proved a challenge to put it down, as any good book should be!”
“I really loved it! Easy, interesting read (not technical), succinctly put ideas, never boring! Some great quotes to remember and share. I like the questions that initiate thought and action at the end of each chapter.
A lot can be learnt and taught from reading this book, not only about successful business, but success in steering one’s life and dealing with its ups and downs. Glad you are spreading the word about Win Win Conscious Capitalism too! A book suitable for both business startups and those businesses needing fresh new focus”
“Not only is this book a mentoring program in itself, the writer walks her talk and is inspirational for anyone who wishes to challenge themselves to contribute something to others in a meaningful and practical way as well as helping people who are self motivated. Highly recommend”

“22 Leadership Fundamentals is written by a real leader. While studying for my Masters in Educational Leadership I read hundreds of articles of this and that “hero” who saved this and that company. Quite often what I found missing in the books I read was that personal touch and the message that it was about more than success, being the saviour of the company or making it big.
Alison’s leadership experience goes much deeper than the other leadership manuals I have read for a number of reasons. The first of these is Alison is a leader where all leadership should start, in the family. As a mother Alison works on an amazing team with Lou to and has raised some of the most wonderful and compassionate young men and woman I have met. They have an incredibly loving and strong family.
The second aspect Alison brings to leadership is compassion. Something that does not get much attention in the leadership journals I have read. Alison’s has been my direct supervisor in ACCV for five years. I have personally witnessed Alison lead ACCV by example. The vast majority of the funds given to the poor in Vietnam has come from the Vidotto family’s pocket. This is leading by example and something I would be willing to follow!
I highly recommend 22 Leadership Fundamentals to anybody who wants to be a leader to make a difference first and a dollar second”
“A wonderful, motivating and inspiring read recommended to anyone looking for direction, focus or to further their professional and personal development”
“This is such an accessible book. While reading it I felt as though I was having a one-on -one conversation with the author. Her use of personal experiences to illustrate each Principle made this conversation very real.
I particularly liked the Reflection questions at the end of each chapter. By answering them I was able to see where & how the Leadership Fundamentals could be integrated into both my professional & private life.
As a small business owner I found this book to be a valuable resource.”
“This book was extremely enjoyable and very easy to read.
I found myself captivated by the authors own personal stories, I wanted to learn more about her and the charity she founded. The reflection questions at the end of each chapter are a great tool and have helped me realise what changes I need to implement in my own small business. This is the type of book I will be reading again, inspiring!”
